A well-made, inexpensive fountain pen

This pen works well when converted for using bottled ink. I had numerous skipping when employed with Lami's cartridges, but it writes with no problems or difficulties with a good-quality ink like Noodler's.

Delighted with this pen.

I purchased this pen less than one month ago and I already see the price has gone up by $5. Probably a consequence of the devaluation of the dollar. Either way, it's still a great deal. It is reputedly the best pen underneath $100, and of course, at a price less than a third of $100, I would be the last to argue. And I'd like to point out that the lightweight plastic construction is not a bad thing at all. Consider just how light in weight an old-time quill pen would be. Literally, featherweight, right? I believe the light weight contributes to better writing form, and believe me, personally I need all the aid I may get in terms of bettering my handwriting. This pen works perfectly and has helped my with my handwriting-improvement project immensely. The "Fine" nib is perfective for me and the way I grasp it, Lamy's "Fine" is regarding the same as some other pen manufacturer's "Fine-Medium." That is to say, it formulates a good thickness of line and is perfective for anyone, like myself, who writes a medium-size script. I think that a person would have to be inclined to write a very little size script to need an extra-fine nib. But, perhaps for addressing Christmas cards and such, you know, sort of "bold" more prominent writing, the medium nib might be a good choice. (Loose guidelines, based on my internet research.)

Great pens

I have two of them for every day use. I am writing rather a bit by hand. I started with one and I speedily purchased a second one. Now, one year later, I may say they are durable, and in spite of a low weight when equated with the intermediate fountain pen, they write very well. I am exceedingly pleased.

I found myself missing my fountain pens after various years and found that most stores don't carry them any more. After scanning a lot of other Parkers and Pilots I settled on this one which is only a little more highpriced than galore disposable fountain pens available online.

This is a nice writing instrument, with a good weight and size and writes decently. This is made by Cross for Franklin Covey also you are guaranteed good quality even though not the same level as the 5 times more highpriced authenti Cross line up. The chrome and black lacquer look nice for business use. The nib writes with medium thickness and the writing is smooth, particularly if you don't let the ink arid by leaving the pen open without the cap.

It came in a general plastic package so may not make the best gift. However, I purchased it for my own use and I am very pleased with it's performance. It came with one black ink cartridge, so you will have to order more with the pen. I found more elaborated pictures of this pen on the Franklin Covey internetsite if you want a closer look.

Economical

Good go-to, budget fountain pen. All metal means it won't crack like my former standby(s), the Parker Vector. Get a Monteverde Ink Converter, Clear (31076) with it for refilling.

Pretty good pen. Writes reasonably smoothly; pen is rather stylish.

Doesn't come with a converter, nor does any seem to fit it so it ought to be refilled manually or refilled with new ink cartridges.

Parker Sonnet fountain pen

I purchased this in late December to have a pen for class. I am working on my pros and take a great deal of notes and I was sick and tired of cheap, plastic, throw-away pens. I was looking for something both lasting and comparatively ecologically sound. Plus I have always wanted a decent fountain pen, and I don't have a ton of cash to throw away on one, so this fit the bill. It is gorgeous and feels solid, has a nice, balanced weight in the hand, ink flows with no problems or difficulties and there is no scratchiness to the nib. I gave it 5 stars, but would rate it with regards to 4.5 for the most part because this workhorse runs through ink beauteous quickly, and I find myself either altering cartridges comparatively ofttimes or refilling the refillable cartridge... Although perhaps I shouldn't be so harsh since I am using this for taking notes and I do write a lot. After using this each day for closely four months I ought to say I am happy with my buy and would commend this pen as a nice entry-level fountain pen.

Great choice

I am so very, very pleased with my Parker Sonnet fountain pen! I am a collector, of sorts, and had been given numerous birthday cash for a splurge. I had the itch for a new pen so I visited various web sites and marked assorted favorites. I do not have any other Parkers but I kept coming back to this one; it just appealed to me somehow. I utterly love my new pen; it writes so with no problems or difficulties and is so comfortable in my hand. This pen will not sit in my display case; it is going to be my each and everyday friend!

My favourite pen

I do a lot of writing in my work and this stainless steel Sonnet with the gold trim is my workhorse. The gold is marvelously rich and lustrous and the pen is a butter smooth writer. Two years of solid use so far. The only comment I would make is that it is a rather "wet" writer. Actually, I love wet writers, where the ink flows effortlessly and I may make notes speedily in consultations but if you prefer something finer and scratchier this might not be the choice for you. A classic pen too...I inherited 1960s Parker pens from my parents and prospects are you'll end up handing this on too.

Good Quality. Easy to Use. Wish They Held More Ink

Title sums it up, doesn't it? Cartridge or inkwell-based refills are an economical way to keep the pen flowing. For those of us who do each and everyday journaling, the price savings in truth adds up.

I wish the international size kept more ink, however. I may use up one of these in a week or two of regular writing, and a dandier volume would in all probability be more economical and reduce waste. Still, the standardization has value in and of itself.

Fits Diplomat, writes well.

I have a Diplomat fountain pen, and most office stores have stopped carrying refills for it. Amazon to the rescue again!

The ink cartridges come in a blister pack of six, they write well, and last long. I keep hand written diary and am still on the basi cartridge after a month.

I intermediate two pages a night, plus sundry writing tasks, so I am well satisfied.

Good product.
